The Festival du Nouveau Cinéma is committed to highlighting and contributing to the development of new trends in cinema and new media. It is a showcase for new, original works, particularly in the fields of independent cinema and digital creation. The Festival’s programming is divided into main sections regrouping more than 300 short and feature length films.
International Selection (Competition)
The International Selection includes films that bring a new vision and approach to both the form and content of filmmaking. Films must all be first, second or third works.
Présentation spéciale
This section showcases some of the year’s best independent features, giving a thorough overview of international cinema. This section also includes the most recent works by today’s master filmmakers
Panorama international

Temps Ø
The festival’s wildest section includes films for people interested in unusual discoveries. A real showcase for emerging cinematic trends, Temps Ø is always looking for funny, avant-garde, and above all surprising films.
Les P’tits Loups
P’tits Loups showcases films made for our young cinephiles. Last year, 2 features and a short program have been presented. Inspired by a great public reception, the Festival would like to develop the section in 2008.
